Who We Are


Jeanetta Nieuwsma, LISW, PMH-C, PFA-C

Owner, Mental Health Professional

Jeanetta has extensive experience across various roles in the mental health field. She has served as a mental health therapist with a specialized focus on maternal mental health and first responder wellness. Additionally, she has worked as an emergency room social worker, crisis response counselor, and school-based counselor. 

Jeanetta is ICISF trained in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM/GRIN) and Psychological First Aid and plays an active role in supporting first responders following critical incidents, contributing to both the Central Iowa and Southern Prairie CISM teams. Additionally, she participates in local law enforcement Peer Support programs and has been vetted and approved as a Wellness Provider by the Fraternal Order of Police.

Jeanetta offers mental health and wellness consultation, first responder wellness visits, critical incident debriefing, and presentations to schools, hospitals, public safety organizations, and businesses throughout Iowa.


Maria Fynaardt, MSW, LISW

Mental Health Professional

Maria has a variety of professional experiences that have been instrumental in her growth as a social worker. Her experience includes roles as a Family Safety Risk Permanency (FSRP) provider, a Behavioral Health Intervention Services provider, Safe Families for Children case manager, and an outpatient mental health therapist. Maria is currently serving as a school-based counselor, where she enjoys applying her skills and passion for helping others in an educational setting, fostering a supportive environment for students, teachers, and families.


Molly Vanderleest, BSW

MSW Candidate, Counselor

Molly is a masters-level social work candidate with a passion for working with children. Currently serving as a school-based counselor, she brings her compassionate and nurturing approach to her work, walking alongside students and teachers to provide support and guidance.
